Welcome to my new blog. After following all those gorgeous, and inspiring blogs I have decided to join the blog community….to me the blog world is a bit like climbing Enid Blyton’s Magic Far Away Tree … I get the same feeling immersing myself in blog land as I did reading Enid Blyton's charming stories all those years ago.
I live in the suburbs of a large city
In this bush haven I dabble in nostalgia, old wares and vintage, sustainable living, gardening, crafting and making candles. I share my home with hubby, a lovely talented teen and three poodles. My passion for frugal and sustainable living means I reclaim all sorts of things - furniture, clothes, furnishings, plants and even my three poodles were rescued. My love for candles and all things natural led me to my little cottage industry making soy wax candles scented with pure essential oil & hand-poured into pre-loved containers which I sell at markets…. My candles are called Harmony Candles.
So after this brief introduction here is my blog....which I hope will be a vignette of my life, home and interests ...a twig on that 'magic far away tree'.
